Non-running vehicles · Inherited or abandoned · Title transfer guidance · Same-day quotes

The old RV that hasn't moved in 8 years. The fishing boat the kids never use. The pop-up camper rotting in the side yard. The trailer that came with the property. We haul them out — non-running is fine, missing titles handled case-by-case, abandoned and inherited vehicles common scope. Salvage routing to RV graveyards and metal recyclers. Donation coordination for usable units (Boys & Girls Club, Habitat ReStore). Same-day quotes.

What RV, boat & camper removal involves

RV, boat, and camper removal is a distinct vertical from standard junk removal because of three factors: the vehicles are large and heavy (transport requires heavy-duty trucks and trailers), they're regulated as motor vehicles (titles, registrations, and salvage law apply), and the downstream routing options are specialized (RV graveyards, marine salvage yards, scrap metal recyclers, or donation programs depending on condition).

Most jobs we see are non-running vehicles that have been sitting on the property for years — sometimes decades. Class A motorhomes that nobody's started since the owner's death. Fishing boats with rotted hulls that can't be put back in the water. Travel trailers that arrived during a remodel and never left. Pop-up campers with collapsed canvas. The owners (or executors, or new homeowners after a purchase) just want them gone.

Pricing depends on three things: vehicle type and size (a Class A motorhome is fundamentally different to handle than a 14-foot fishing boat), running condition (running vehicles can sometimes be driven onto our trailer; non-running require winching, which adds labor), and access. The most common access challenge: the vehicle was driven in, but the driveway or side yard has been blocked by landscaping/fencing/storage in the years since, requiring removal of obstructions before extraction.

How RV, boat & camper removal works

1. Quote and intake

Submit the form or call. We ask about vehicle type, length, running condition (will it start, will it drive, are the brakes functional), title status (do you have it, is the previous owner deceased), and access (where is it, can a truck-and-trailer reach it). Photos help — exterior shots from multiple angles plus a shot of the VIN plate and title if you have it.

2. Access assessment

For tight-access situations (vehicles boxed in by landscaping, fencing, or other storage) we may schedule a 15-minute on-site assessment before scheduling extraction. This avoids surprises when the crew arrives. Most jobs don't require this — driveway access is sufficient.

3. Title coordination

If you have the title, sign it over to us at pickup or per our local protocol (varies by state). If you don't have the title, we discuss options: title recovery services (you hire a service), abandoned vehicle protocols (varies by state), or junk-vehicle disposal pathways (some states allow disposal without title for certain age/condition vehicles). We don't recover titles ourselves but we know what's possible.

4. Extraction

On-site extraction. For running vehicles, sometimes we drive onto our trailer. For non-running, we winch. For boats and lighter trailers, we use a hitch truck. For Class A motorhomes, we use heavy-duty equipment. Extraction time ranges from 30 minutes (driveway-accessible running vehicle) to 3-4 hours (winched non-runner with obstacle clearance).

5. Downstream routing and documentation

Donation-eligible RVs in working condition route to Boys & Girls Club, Habitat ReStore, or similar donation programs (these accept RVs in some markets; check with us). Boats in working condition route to similar programs. Non-runnable units route to RV salvage yards or scrap metal recyclers. You receive documentation of routing for tax purposes when applicable.

How RV, boat & camper removal pricing works

RV, boat, and camper removal pricing is driven primarily by vehicle type and size, with access and condition as secondary factors. Small boats (14-18 foot fishing boats on trailers): $400-$700. Mid-size boats and trailers (18-24 foot): $500-$1,000. Pop-up campers and small travel trailers: $500-$900. Mid-size travel trailers (20-30 foot): $700-$1,400. Large travel trailers and fifth-wheels (30+ foot): $1,000-$1,800. Class C motorhomes: $900-$1,800. Class A motorhomes: $1,200-$2,500. Jet skis and personal watercraft on trailers: $400-$700.

Three factors shift price within the type range: (1) running condition (running vehicles are faster to extract; non-runners require winching), (2) access difficulty (vehicles boxed in by landscaping, fencing, or storage require obstacle clearance), and (3) extraction complexity (vehicles with flat tires, missing wheels, or significant deterioration require additional equipment and time).

What's included in the price: extraction labor, transport to disposal/donation destination, basic loadout. What's separately priced if applicable: obstacle clearance (removal of fencing, landscaping, or storage to access the vehicle), hazardous materials handling (fuel still in tanks beyond residual, propane tanks, batteries with active leaks).

For vehicles with significant scrap value (recent Class A motorhomes with intact engines, late-model boats with engines), we may offer a reduced removal price or even a small credit toward the haul — the scrap value offsets our cost. We'll let you know during the quote if this applies.

Frequently asked questions

How much does RV or boat removal cost?

Pricing depends on vehicle type and size. Small boats (14-18 ft): $400-$700. Mid-size boats: $500-$1,000. Pop-up campers and small travel trailers: $500-$900. Travel trailers (20-30 ft): $700-$1,400. Class A motorhomes: $1,200-$2,500. Class C motorhomes: $900-$1,800. Jet skis on trailers: $400-$700. Non-running condition and difficult access can shift prices up.

Can you remove an RV or boat without the title?

It depends on state law. Most states allow disposal of older non-running vehicles (typically 10+ years old) without title through specific abandoned vehicle or junk vehicle protocols. Newer vehicles or running vehicles typically require title or a title recovery process. We discuss options during the quote. We don't recover titles ourselves but know what's possible per state.

Will you take an RV that hasn't run in 10 years?

Yes — non-running is the most common scenario we handle. RVs and boats that have been sitting for years are exactly what this service is for. We winch them onto our trailer. The longer it's been sitting, the more likely we'll find flat tires, dead batteries, rotted hoses, and pest habitation — all expected and handled.

Can you donate my old RV instead of scrapping it?

If the unit is in working or near-working condition, we coordinate with donation programs that accept RVs and boats — primarily Boys & Girls Club's RV/Boat donation program and Habitat for Humanity (in select markets). Donation paperwork available for tax purposes. For units in non-working condition, scrap metal recycling is typically the right routing — the metal value goes to the recycler, not to a charity.

Do I need to drain fuel or remove propane tanks before you arrive?

No — we handle residual fuel (small amounts in tanks) and propane tanks as standard scope. For substantial fuel quantities (a recently-filled motorhome) or large external propane tanks (the 100-pound ASME tanks some Class A motorhomes have), we coordinate handling on a case basis. Batteries, fluids, and gas tanks all route to appropriate facilities.

What if the RV or boat is blocking my driveway?

Common situation — RVs parked years ago that have been landscaped around, boats stored behind newer construction. We do an access assessment during the quote and price accordingly. For situations requiring obstacle clearance (removing temporary fencing, cutting back overgrown landscaping, moving other items), that's separately scoped or handled as part of the extraction.

Do you remove boats in the water?

We don't pull boats out of the water — that requires marina services or a specialty boat hauler. Once the boat is out of the water on a trailer (or being held at a marina ready to be towed), we can handle the trailer transport and disposal/donation. Coordinate with the marina on pull-out timing before booking us.

Can you remove an empty boat trailer or utility trailer?

Yes, frequently. Empty boat trailers (the boat is gone, the trailer remains), empty utility trailers, empty camper trailers — straightforward scope. These typically price in the $300-$500 range. If the trailer has wheels and we can hitch it to our truck, the extraction is fast.
